The Robert H Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University will award travel
grants to physicians in training to attend the 9th Annual Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Symposium, an international meeting focused on clinical breast cancer topics, in Chicago, IL from September 27-30, 2007.

Program Objectives

• To provide physicians in training the opportunity to attend one of the most respected
breast cancer meetings in the country.

• To provide an intimate forum of learning among peers in the field of breast cancer.

Eligibility
All physicians in training with a special interest in breast cancer are invited to apply.

Travel Grant
A $1000* travel grant will be provided to support the room, board and travel for candidates
outside the Chicago metropolitan area to attend the two mini-symposia (Supportive Care and Pathology for the non-Pathologist) and the main symposium at the Fairmont Hotel-Chicago. The symposium registration will be paid for by the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University and a special discounted room rate at the Fairmont Hotel-Chicago will be offered. In addition, the candidate is required to attend a Lynn Sage Fellows Travel Grant dinner on Thursday, September 27, 2007.

Chicago area travel grant recipients are encouraged to participate in this special program. Selected participants will not receive the travel funding but will get parking vouchers upon request. Also, they are required to attend the dinner.

Application Process
Please submit an online application along with a letter from your Fellowship Program Director on your institution’s letterhead. Application deadline is August 3, 2007. Applications are being accepted for the wait list and all applicants will be notified by August 17, 2007.

Selection Process
Selection of the awardees will be based on the recommendation from their Fellowship Director and demonstrated interest in breast cancer. Awardees will be notified by August 17, 2007.

*Appropriate taxes will be applied.
